On a DJ's Mind

As a DJ, I look at weddings and parties differently than my clients do, and it can be difficult to explain that to a potential client.

Some people look at the DJ as just bringing music and a loud sound system. But there is a more--a lot more. To do my job properly, there are countless details I need to know and plan for.

Rather than explain everything that goes on in my mind, I'd like to present a mind-map. This isn't every last detail, but it gives you an idea of what things are on my mind when someone says 'party'. Some things seem obvious, others I've learned through experience. But ultimately, it is that experience that makes the results appear easy.
